Our Philosophy

What is
impact?

Impact is not a compromise. It is the belief that capital deployed with intention — toward real problems — generates better outcomes for both investors and the world.

“Impact investing” describes the practice of deploying capital with the explicit intention to generate positive, measurable social or environmental outcomes — alongside financial returns.

At Impact Growth Labs, we believe those two goals are not in tension. They are the same goal.

Redefining Return

Capital with
a purpose

Traditional investing asks one question: what is the financial return? Impact investing adds a second: what is the return for society and the planet?

The evidence is growing that asking both questions produces better answers to each. Companies solving real problems tend to build more durable moats, attract mission-aligned talent, and operate in markets with regulatory and societal tailwinds.

We invest at the pre-seed and seed stage, where the founding decisions that define a company's impact trajectory are still being made — and where patient, mission-aligned capital has the highest leverage.

Where We Focus

Our impact
thesis

We concentrate where the need is greatest and where technology- enabled business models can achieve scale. Four domains guide every investment decision we make.

Climate & Environment

Decarbonisation, circular systems, and nature-based solutions.

Health & Wellbeing

Accessible care, digital health, and underserved communities.

Education & Mobility

First-generation learners and workforce pathways.

Circular Economy

Waste elimination, material recovery, and regenerative supply chains.

Measurement as Foundation

How we measure
what matters

An impact claim without evidence is marketing. We hold ourselves and our portfolio to a rigorous measurement standard — one built on sector-standard frameworks and independent review.

Theory of change

Every investment begins with a clearly articulated pathway from activity to outcome to long-term systemic shift.

SDG alignment

We map investments to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, giving our portfolio a shared global language.

IRIS+ metrics

We draw from the GIIN's IRIS+ catalogue to select the indicators most meaningful for each sector and stage.

Annual impact audits

Portfolio companies submit standardised impact data annually, independently reviewed against their stated theory of change.
